Air defense systems shot down five drones on approach to Moscow

The air Defense forces destroyed five drones heading for Moscow. This was announced on July 14 by the mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin.

"The attack of five UAVs was repelled by the air defense forces of the Ministry of Defense. Emergency services specialists are working at the crash site," he wrote on the Maks messenger.

On the same day, Sobyanin talked about the destruction of two more drones.

The new units will cover the rear in the special operation zone.

Earlier in the day, the Ministry of Defense announced the destruction of 288 Ukrainian drones over the regions of Russia by air defense systems. In particular, drones were eliminated over the Belgorod, Bryansk, Voronezh, Kaluga, Kursk, Lipetsk, Orel, Rostov, Ryazan, Saratov and Tula regions, as well as over the Moscow region, Krasnodar Territory, Crimea and Bashkortostan.
