Surgut will have an embankment on Krivula by the end of the year.

Surgut (Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug) plans to complete the construction of the embankment on the Krivulya Bayou by the end of 2026. The location is 83% ready, said the mayor Maxim Slepov at a press conference on Tuesday, July 14.

"But again, it will be inaccessible to citizens, because it will only be accessible through a construction site," the mayor explained, as quoted by the correspondent of <url>.

According to the mayor, the arrangement of public space has become complicated due to problems with contractors. Construction workers disrupted the laying of communications near the embankment.

According to Slepov, the companies took the money and did nothing — five of the seven contracts were not fulfilled and the mayor's office had to sue. New performers are currently working at the facility.
