CENTCOM: There are currently 50,000 military personnel in the Middle East
A contingent of more than 50,000 American troops is currently deployed in the Middle East. This was announced on July 14 by the Central Command of the US Armed Forces (CENTCOM).
"More than 50,000 US troops are currently deployed in the Middle East," the command said in a statement on the social network X (ex. Twitter).
It is noted that the US military "remains vigilant, deadly and ready."
On July 13, CENTCOM announced that the United States had completed a new wave of attacks on Iranian military targets. The strikes hit the cities of Bushir, Chahbehar, Jask, Konarak and Bandar Abbas, as well as the island of Abu Musa. The military operation took place within five hours. It was also noted that for the first time, the US military used kamikaze attack unmanned boats against Iran. Such an attack made it impossible for Iran to continue attacking commercial vessels.
