The soldiers of the Uragan multiple launch rocket system (MLRS) of the 385th separate artillery brigade of the Center group of forces provided the advance of the assault groups in the Dobropolsky area of the special military operation with a fire strike. This was announced on July 14 by the Russian Defense Ministry.

It is noted that the MLRS calculation provides fire support to the advancing assault units during combat missions, destroying fortified strongholds and enemy defense nodes. The work of the gunners is built in close conjunction with the advance groups, which makes it possible to strike targets that hinder the advance of assault units.

"The intensity is mainly during the offensive. <...> We cover with fire, or we work in the rear or during the assault on ours. <...> fortified areas, UAV launch sites (unmanned aerial vehicles. — Ed.), concentrations of manpower," said Ruslan Ermekov, senior gunner of the Hurricane MLRS.

During aerial reconnaissance, an equipped stronghold of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), located in the path of the assault groups, was uncovered. The coordinates of the target were transferred to the Uragan MLRS calculation, which marched into the area of combat use and launched an artillery strike with 220-millimeter rockets. As a result, the Ukrainian Armed Forces stronghold was covered and destroyed with an accurate volley. In addition, the assault units were able to continue moving without losses.

Thanks to the coordinated and professional actions of the gunners of the 385th brigade of the Center group of forces, it is possible to effectively crack the enemy's defenses, ensuring the safe advance of Russian assault groups and the fulfillment of assigned tasks in the Dobropolsky direction.
