The next prisoner exchange between Russia and Ukraine will be held in the near future, but the exact date has not yet been announced. This was announced on July 13 by the Commissioner for Human Rights in Russia, Yana Lantratova.

According to the Ombudsman, the date of the exchange is not disclosed, so as not to disrupt the process and disappoint the families.

"The most important thing is that we are preparing a new exchange, we are negotiating both the exchange of prisoners of war and the exchange of civilians. But we never reveal the date. One thing I can say is that it will be soon," she told reporters during her trip to Yekaterinburg.

The Ombudsman explained that the exchange process is conducted with great care and attention is paid to each stage. From May to June, 550 Russian servicemen were returned to Russia, including seven citizens from the Sverdlovsk region.

Lantratova stressed that after the release of prisoners of war, they have the opportunity to immediately contact their relatives through the provided phones.

Lantratova reported on July 7 that the office of the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation, together with the Ministry of Defense, had determined the fate of 91 servicemen who had previously been considered missing during a special military operation. In addition, Moscow and Kiev conducted three prisoner exchanges in June. As a result of these events, 550 Russian servicemen returned to their homeland.
