A special military operation to protect the civilian population of Donbass has been conducted by Russia since February 24, 2022. The fighters of the North group of forces improved their tactical position and defeated the formations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in Sumy and Kharkiv regions. The enemy lost over 200 men, four armored combat vehicles, nine vehicles and three field artillery pieces.

The Zapad group of forces has taken more advantageous positions and frontiers. Ukrainian formations in the Kharkiv region and the DPR were defeated. The Ukrainian Armed Forces lost more than 220 soldiers, four armored combat vehicles, 17 vehicles, a 155 mm Paladin self-propelled artillery system made in the USA and an electronic warfare station (EW).

The military personnel of the southern group of forces improved their tactical position and hit the enemy in the areas of the DPR settlements. The enemy lost up to 175 militants, three armored combat vehicles, 23 vehicles and two field artillery guns.

Units of the Center group of forces improved their position along the front line, and also hit Ukrainian formations in the DPR and the Dnipropetrovsk region. The losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine amounted to more than 340 people, an armored combat vehicle, seven vehicles and an electronic warfare station.

The Vostok group of troops continued to move into the depth of the enemy's defenses. Units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were also defeated in a number of settlements in the Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhia regions. The enemy lost over 385 soldiers, three armored combat vehicles, nine vehicles and a Grad multiple rocket launcher combat vehicle.

The fighters of the Dnepr group of forces defeated the formations of the Armed Forces brigades in the areas of the settlements of the Kherson and Zaporizhia regions. Up to 95 Ukrainian Armed Forces fighters, 12 vehicles and three electronic warfare stations were destroyed.

Operational-tactical aircraft, unmanned aerial vehicles, missile forces and artillery of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation have damaged fuel, energy and transport infrastructure facilities used by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, storage and assembly facilities for long-range unmanned aerial vehicles, fuel and lubricants and ammunition depots, as well as temporary locations of Ukrainian armed forces and foreign mercenaries in 142 districts.

12 guided aerial bombs and 926 aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles were shot down by air defense systems. The forces of the Black Sea Fleet destroyed a crewless boat of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

According to the Ministry of Defense, since the beginning of the special military operation, 673 aircraft, 284 helicopters, 180,451 unmanned aerial vehicles, 665 anti-aircraft missile systems, 30143 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,757 multiple rocket launchers, 35,747 field artillery guns and mortars, 66,376 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed.
