The premiere of the film "Hello, it's me! The history of the band "HANDS UP!"

In the 1990s, this group was called "musical trash." But it was their songs that sounded everywhere — from minibuses and commercial tents, in entrances and hospital rooms, giving people hope back in an era of chaos and lack of money. "Hands up!" has become the voice of an entire generation — and 30 years later, stadiums are being built again.

The documentary "HELLO, IT'S ME! THE STORY OF THE BAND "HANDS UP!" from NMG DOC is not just a biopic about a popular band. This is the story of a country that survived, fell in love, and danced against all odds. A story about a time when simple songs turned out to be more necessary than complex meanings. And about the leader of the band "Hands up!" Sergey Zhukov, a man who went from a provincial DJ to an artist who became a part of the personal memory of millions.

The film explores the main paradox: why the music, which was rejected by critics, was chosen by the whole country — and still does not let go.

"30 years is a whole epoch, and I want it to remain not only in my memories. We never pretended to be stars, we were always the boys from next door — we were just lucky that our songs became someone's youth, someone's first love. I hope that those who watch this film will feel nostalgic, remember their youth, learn something new and just have fun," said Sergey Zhukov, the leader of the Hands Up! group.

The viewer will see a candid interview with Sergey Zhukov, unique archival footage of the 90s and learn the real fates of people for whom the songs "Hands up!" became a lifeline. Igor Nikolaev, Vadim Samoilov, Ivan Okhlobystin, Sergey Bezrukov, Yana Churikova, Sergey Minaev, Vladimir Sychev, Tutta Larsen, Ilya Legostaev, Artur Gasparyan, as well as Sergey Zhukov's wife Regina Burd are also participating in the project.
