The architecture of the business program of the Eastern Economic Forum — 2026 has been published

The architecture of the business program of the Eastern Economic Forum 2026, which will be held on September 1-4 in Vladivostok on the campus of the Far Eastern Federal University, has been published on the official website. The main theme of this year's WEF is "The Far East — development for the benefit of people." The organizer is the Roscongress Foundation with the support of the Government of the Russian Federation.

"The Eastern Economic Forum has become one of the most effective tools for the socio-economic development of the Far East. In the early years of the Forum, the main objectives were aimed at the economic recovery of the macroregion: modernization of existing and construction of new enterprises, attracting technology to the regions, and creating highly qualified jobs. Thanks to government support measures, almost 7 trillion investments have been made in the Far East and the Arctic, and 197,000 jobs have been created. Economic incentives allowed us to create the basis for further development and gave us the opportunity to pay even more attention to the social sphere. Additionally, special tools were introduced: preferential Far Eastern and Arctic mortgages, free provision of land under the "Hectare" program. The modernization of the social infrastructure continues with the funds of the Far Eastern Presidential Single Subsidy. On behalf of the President of Russia, a large-scale renovation of 25 Far Eastern and 15 Arctic cities is underway. All this has been done to ensure that the Far East and the Arctic become territories comfortable for work and life. At the Eastern Economic Forum, we will discuss what has already happened and what needs to be worked on in the near future," said Yuri Trutnev, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Far Eastern Federal District, Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Eastern Economic Forum.

The business program is divided into five thematic tracks: "Living and working in the Far East", "Mechanisms for attracting private investment", "The Far East is the pole of international cooperation", "Technologies of the present and future", "Logistics and infrastructure for economic growth".

"The world is in a stage of systemic transformation. This is due to the fact that Western economic and technological institutions have proven their inability to ensure global development. Today, their goal is to restrain the development of countries that disagree with the position of the collective West. In these circumstances, the formation of a sovereign economy is a prerequisite for progressive development. Its main components are the active introduction of technological innovations, the development of human capital and international cooperation based on pragmatism and mutual respect.

These vectors are reflected in the program of the Eastern Economic Forum. It covers a wide range of topics, from issues of technological cooperation and the diversification of international logistics routes to the development of artificial intelligence, the robotization of production, the introduction of unmanned technologies and the growth of the platform economy. I would like to emphasize that the measurable result of any systemic changes is an improvement in people's quality of life. It is this priority that is reflected in the main theme of this year's Forum. I am convinced that the dialogue at the WEF site will make it possible to develop systemic solutions that will ensure Russia's sustainable socio-economic development," said Anton Kobyakov, Adviser to the President of the Russian Federation and Executive Secretary of the WEF Organizing Committee.

The track "Living and working in the Far East" will focus on staffing issues for the accelerated development of the macroregion and the formation of a comfortable living environment. In particular, it is planned to discuss the role of universities as drivers of technology, increasing the export potential of creative products, the implementation of master plans for cities in the Far East and housing policy, as well as socio-architectural practices aimed at improving living standards.

Discussions within the framework of the "Mechanisms for attracting private investment" direction will focus on such topics as the improvement of the extractive industry and industry, the development of preferential regimes in the Far East and the Arctic and the implementation of investment projects, the creation of an Eastern Financial Center in the macroregion, the optimization of reporting for businesses and others.

The block "The Far East - the pole of international cooperation" will be devoted to cooperation with the countries of the Asia—Pacific region and relevant areas of cooperation. The focus is on the new economy of international aviation, tourism as a tool of "soft power", and consumer protection issues.

The participants of the track "Technologies of the present and the future" will discuss the integration of artificial intelligence into various spheres of life, the robotization of production, the potential for the development of unmanned vehicles and other issues. Discussions will focus on the platform economy, effective strategies for financing technology leadership projects, as well as the creation of data centers and bioeconomics.

The Logistics and Infrastructure for Economic Growth direction will focus on the development of transport corridors, including the Northern Sea Route, gasification of the Far East, and other topics.

The business program at the Streets of the Far East venue will include an open plenary session on projects of the Muravyov-Amursky 2030 program, a business game Vladivostok 2050: Designing the City of the Future, as well as events dedicated to the Far East - Land of Adventure competition and tourism products created in the macroregion.

The WEF will also host the Creative Industries Forum, the Youth Forum "Day of the Future", the International Forum "Falcon Day", the SME Forum, the APEC International Conference on Cooperation in Higher Education, and the conference "Crossroads of Civilizations: the Role of Transport Integration in the History of the Asia-Pacific Region". Business dialogues with China, India, the UAE, Mongolia, Vietnam and ASEAN are planned.
