Moscow summed up the results of the costumed sap festival

A costumed sap festival "This is Sap, Moscow!" was held in Serebryany Bor Park on July 12 as part of the celebration of Moscow Transport Day. The participants took to the water in dozens of unusual images — from heroes of fairy tales and movies to astronauts, pirates, angels and fairy-tale characters. This was reported by the Moscow Department of Transport.

One of the main events of the holiday was the costume contest, the winners of which were determined in 11 nominations. So, in the "Hero of the Big City" category, the girls in the images of the dogs Belka and Strelka were recognized as the best, the participant in the image of a jellyfish received the prize for the main marine costume, and the family in the costumes of the cartoon characters "Three Cats" won in the nomination "This is love on the water".

In addition to the sap swim, a concert program with the participation of DJs and famous artists, photo zones, master classes and entertainment areas for children were organized for the guests. Throughout the event, the safety of the participants was ensured by rescuers and ambulance crews.

"The development of sports infrastructure and accessible outdoor activities is an important part of our work on the task of Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin. We are consistently turning the waters of the Moskva River into a full-fledged leisure space where everyone can find something to do. Sap swims bring people together, give emotions and have already become a good Moscow tradition. We see that interest in such events is only growing every year," said Maxim Liksutov, Moscow's Deputy Mayor for Transport and Industry.

The organizers of the festival were the Moscow Department of Transport and the media holding Shkulev Holding. According to the organizers, the event once again confirmed the growing popularity of sap surfing and the role of the Moskva River as one of the key spaces for outdoor activities in the capital.
