A memorial tank was stolen from a mass grave in the Kharkiv region.

Unknown persons took out a tank monument from the central cemetery of the village of Oskol, Kharkiv region, which was erected on the mass grave of soldiers of the Great Patriotic War. This was reported on July 12 by the Ukrainian TV channel "Public".

"We are talking about the T-70 tank. It was installed on the mass grave of the crew who died during the liberation of the village," the publication says.

The tank was stolen on the night of July 11, during the curfew period. During the removal of the monument, the attackers destroyed at least 12 tombstones.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said on June 18 that Russia had sent a protest note to Armenia over the desecration of the Soviet memorial in Gyumri. Zakharova added that the Armenian authorities, instead of strongly condemning the situation, chose to remain silent. She also stressed that such actions by the government create the ground for various "barbaric antics."
