According to the network, over the past three years, the demand for bite correction among patients aged 18-25 has increased by more than 40%.

"Today, young people come to the orthodontist not because they are in pain, but because they can't stop looking at themselves in the camera," Petrosyan notes.

According to the expert, attitudes towards appearance have changed due to the front-facing camera, video calls, social networks and dating apps. Many young patients admit that it was photographs and constant visual fixation of themselves that caused the first visit to the orthodontist.

"Even teeth are gradually moving from the category of an aesthetic bonus to the expected standard of appearance," the expert emphasizes.

Petrosyan also noted that attitudes towards braces among teenagers are changing. If they were shy before, now orthodontic treatment is increasingly perceived as the norm and a sign of health care, and the first consultations often begin as early as 15-16 years old.

"For Generation Z, smiling has become a part of self—presentation and self-care," she explains.
