In Ukraine, the commander of the AFU brigade was put on the wanted list for desertion
Stanislav Luchanov, commander of the 155th separate mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), voluntarily left the military unit and was put on the wanted list. This was reported on July 11 by the Ukrainian portal "Novosti.LIVE" with reference to the operational command "North".
"The commander of the 155th separate mechanized brigade, Stanislav Luchanov, voluntarily left his duty station, and they are looking for him. The location of the brigade commander is being established by law enforcement officers," the Telegram channel Novosti.LIVE said in a statement.
According to journalists, the incident occurred against the background of an investigation into a kidnapping case in the Kiev region. On the night of June 28, unidentified men took away two brothers from a private household, whose whereabouts have not yet been established.
As part of the investigation, law enforcement agencies detained nine servicemen of the 155th brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, subordinates of Luchanov. The commander himself disappeared immediately after the arrest of his fighters.
On June 29, Russian law enforcement agencies reported that filtration centers for Ukrainian deserters and refuseniks had been set up in the Sumy region, where "motivational events" were being held. Also, the Ukrainian soldier D. Ershov, having been a day late for the deadline for returning from vacation, suddenly died of "heart failure." At the same time, numerous traces of beatings were recorded on the soldier's body.
