Andrey Tumanov, chairman of the Moscow Horticultural Union, told on Friday, July 10, how to recognize a deadly berry. According to the expert, the most reliable method is to turn to trusted sources.

"If you take the poison berry atlases, everything is very clearly presented there. This is the easiest way to recognize a dangerous plant," he said in an interview with aif.ru .

He advised to visually study the castor oil, which is often found in urban landscaping. The expert added that poisonous berries are usually very bitter, according to the website. kp.ru .

"If you bite a berry and feel a strong bitterness, spit it out immediately. Nature protects itself and us this way: you physically won't be able to eat more than one bitter berry, which means you won't get a lethal dose," he said.

He added that deadly berries are rare and mostly found in the wild.

Mikhail Vishnevsky, a mycologist and candidate of biological Sciences, told NSN that it is necessary to learn the appearance of a dozen dangerous mushrooms in his region in order to avoid poisoning.
