In the Omelchenko Gallery in the center of Moscow, a flood occurred due to a pipe break, as a result of which more than 500 works of art were damaged, including paintings by rapper St.
"Such a terrible situation has happened. The gallery was flooded <...>. A large number of the works that were presented, which were kept by him, suffered. And that includes a number of works that I kept with him, because I still couldn't take them away," he said.
According to the musician, his works were not insured. Now he plans to discuss further actions with the gallery owner.
The pipe burst occurred on July 5th. Most of the works were quickly transferred to neighboring galleries and artists' workshops. The damaged canvases are now being prepared for restoration.
