Barcelona recorded a record temperature in 112 years

Barcelona has recorded the highest temperature in 112 years. This was reported on July 9 by The Guardian newspaper.

"The highest temperature in 112 years was recorded. <...> Temperatures of up to 44 degrees were recorded at some weather stations in Spain," the publication says.

According to the newspaper, this happened after the hottest June in the history of observations was recorded in Western Europe.
