Lavrov declared Russia's readiness to help Mozambique in the fight against terrorism

Russia is ready to respond to Mozambique's request for assistance in eliminating the terrorist threat in the north of the republic. This was announced on July 9 by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.

The Russian Foreign Minister made the corresponding statement following a meeting with the President of Mozambique, Daniel Chapu, in the capital of the republic of Maputo.

"Another direction for the coming period in our strategic partnership relations is the joint fight against terrorism. Russia is ready to support the appeal of our Mozambican friends regarding the support that we can provide in eliminating the terrorist threat that persists in the north of the country," Lavrov said.
