Residents of Krasnoyarsk were evacuated due to flooding after the flood

Residents of houses flooded as a result of the flood were evacuated in Krasnoyarsk and in the village of Solontsy, Krasnoyarsk Territory. Private farmsteads were under water after a sharp rise in the water level in the Kacha River.

According to the KrasnoyarskMedia news agency, the evacuation from the village was carried out at night. Two women and one child were taken out of the danger zone with the help of watercraft. Another man was rescued from a flooded house.

In Krasnoyarsk, a private house on Evenkiyskaya Street was completely surrounded by water. Rescuers evacuated a 77-year-old man directly from his home. He was handed over to his relatives.

The situation is under special control of the authorities. Specialists are constantly monitoring the situation on the Kacha River.

Earlier, on July 9, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin announced that the government would allocate over 4.4 billion rubles to help those who lost their homes due to floods in Chechnya and Dagestan. Mishustin stressed that he would send a request to the Ministry of Construction for operational financing of the entity. He noted that it is important that people can put their houses in order faster and return to their usual lives.
