The number of Dagestan residents left without electricity as a result of bad weather has increased to 36 thousand. This was reported on July 9 in the Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the republic.

"Over 8.4 thousand households, in which about 36 thousand people live, remain without electricity," the department told TASS.

It is noted that this number includes over 7.5 thousand children. The problems, as explained in the ministry, were recorded in 62 settlements located in six municipal districts.

Heavy rains at the end of last month also hit the Sverdlovsk region. On June 30, one of the residents of the village of Samostroy in Pervouralsk told Izvestia that bad weather had formed powerful streams of water near her house, demolishing the porch and flooding the rooms.
