The Armenian authorities are unable to abandon the discussion of the enclaves of the former Azerbaijani SSR, which are currently under their control. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced this on June 9.

The same applies to the problem of the Artsvashen enclave, which was under the control of Armenia during the Soviet era, but is now controlled by Azerbaijan.

"As for the issue of enclaves and exclaves, we must resolve all outstanding issues. We are interested in this because the village of Artsvashen, with the status of an exclave, is under the control of Azerbaijan and is a sovereign territory of the Republic of Armenia. That is, I cannot say that we refuse or can abandon the topic of enclaves and exclaves," the politician said.
