A boat with five passengers capsized in Yakutia
In Yakutia, a motorboat capsized on the Aldan River, four people were missing. This was reported on July 9 by the Rescue Service of the Sakha Republic.
"About 25 km upstream from the village of Ugoyan, the Ob motorboat capsized," the Telegram channel said in a statement.
According to the agency, one of the passengers of the vessel managed to get ashore on his own. Currently, four boats have been involved in the search for the missing — two from the village of Khatystyr and two from Ugoyan.
In addition, rescuers found personal belongings that could belong to the people in the boat. The search and rescue operation continues.
In June, investigators opened a criminal case in the Khabarovsk Territory into the death of a child as a result of a boat capsizing on the May River. It was clarified that the ship capsized as a result of a steering malfunction. At the same time, three people were in the water without life jackets, and the child drowned.
