Ornella Muti attends the International Consumer Cooperation Forum in Kazan

A large-scale International Consumer Cooperation Forum was held on July 8 in Kazan. The event brought together businessmen, government officials and the agricultural sector to share experiences and talk about new projects. One of the guests of the forum was the Italian actress Ornella Muti.

The head of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov, delivered a welcoming speech to the participants. He noted that the republic has become a forge of personnel, where real professionals are trained.

"This year, a technopark has been created, <...> where education, science and the real demands of the cooperative sector will be combined. Here, students gain new competencies in the field of digital technologies and IT. I am confident that these skills will make an effective contribution to the transformation of the industry," said Minnikhanov.

Italy was represented by Muti at the International Consumer Cooperation Forum. According to the actress, her presence at the forum is another proof that in any, even the most difficult times, you can find common ground. She also shared her impressions of Kazan.

"My father is Italian, and my mother was Russian, <...> and this is also a cooperative between different cultures that enriches us. Here, two religions are in contact, together, there is love and respect between them, and it is incredible. It's just wonderful," Muti shared.

She stressed that cooperation between the two countries is important not only for the economy, but also for strengthening cooperation between the parties. In total, about 4,000 participants from Russia and 30 other countries gathered at the International Consumer Cooperation Forum.

Manuel Vescovi, a senator from the Italian League party, noted on May 17 that exclusions and the construction of barriers lead to nothing, and the restoration of dialogue with Russia is a reasonable approach. According to him, the MEPs deprived themselves of the opportunity to communicate with their Russian colleagues, and such a decision did not turn out to be fruitful.
