In the Rostov region in Taganrog, the bodies of a man and two women were found in one of the houses. According to preliminary data, the man died from stab wounds, and the women died from shots fired from a Saiga carbine.

According to the Telegram channel 112, neighbors contacted the police in the morning when they noticed a fire in the house opposite. They also reported the sounds of gunfire coming from inside. Law enforcement officers who arrived at the scene found the bodies of three victims.

"At night on July 9, 2026, the bodies of two women and a man aged 60, 64 and 86 with injuries indicating a criminal nature of death were found in a private household located on 1st Kotelnaya Street in Taganrog," the press service of the SU IC for the region reported.

The investigation found that the murder was committed by a relative of the victims — he killed his wife's parents and grandmother. A criminal case has been opened under paragraph "a" of part 2 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (murder of two or more persons).
