- The wreckage of a cargo plane that disappeared off the coast of Pakistan has been discovered
The wreckage of a Boeing 737-400 cargo plane that disappeared off the coast of Pakistan has been found. This was announced on July 9 by the Airports Authority of Pakistan.
"Pakistani naval and civilian search teams <...> the wreckage of the plane was discovered after about 12 hours of searching in the Arabian Sea," the Independent newspaper quoted them as saying.
The publication clarifies that retired Rear Admiral Faisal Shah noted the difficult search conditions. He stressed that the main wreckage is located at a depth of about 3 thousand meters. This makes it much more difficult to detect them. In addition, according to Shah, the current can carry the remains of the plane far from the crash site.
Dawn newspaper reported a day earlier that a Boeing 737-400 cargo plane belonging to the Pakistani airline K2 Airways had disappeared from radar over the Arabian Sea. The newspaper reports that there were five crew members on board. According to the newspaper, the pilot reported a problem with navigation during the flight and requested help from the control center.
