Serbia declares openness to economic cooperation with Russia and China
Serbia remains ready to cooperate, including with Russia and China, and the country's economy remains open. This was announced on July 9 by Serbian Government Minister Nenad Popovic on the sidelines of the XVI Innoprom exhibition.
"We are supporters of an open economy, so Serbia cooperates with the European Union, the United States, but also with Russia and China. Chinese enterprises are a major investor for Serbia today," he told TASS.
Popovic stressed that an open economic course is a key priority for the state, since the fruits of interstate partnership directly affect the well-being of citizens and the development of Serbia. He added that the economic sphere is of strategic importance and should not be artificially constrained by any restrictions.
Popovich had also announced a day earlier that Serbia would maintain a visa-free regime for Russian citizens. He also noted the love of Serbs for tourists from Russia and pointed out that Belgrade can be reached by direct flights from Moscow, St. Petersburg and Kazan. You can also fly to Belgrade from Sochi and Nizhny Novgorod.
