Preparations for the wedding of blogger Ida Galich were at the center of a scandal after complaints from social media users about possible damage to nature. Footage from the site where preparations for the event are taking place is published by Izvestia on July 8.

The Ministry of Natural Resources of North Ossetia has organized a check on the preparations for the blogger's wedding. According to the agency, the site where the training is taking place is partially located within the boundaries of the natural monument "Jimara tract", where a special regime of use applies.

Vadim Bazaev, the Minister of Natural Resources of the Republic, said that holding such events on the territory is prohibited. If violations are detected, the perpetrators will be brought to administrative responsibility.

Galich herself denied the accusations. According to her, during the preparation, not a single tree was cut down or concreting was carried out, and the organizers cleared the territory of debris. The blogger promised to completely restore the playground after the wedding.

Former executives who took up their positions only six months ago are being tried in a criminal case.

The start of the check on the preparations for the blogger's wedding became known earlier that day. The agency clarified that during the inspection, compliance with the regime of use of a specially protected natural area will be assessed. Based on its results, experts will determine whether there are signs of violations of environmental legislation.

On July 8, netizens expressed dissatisfaction with the preparations for the Galich celebration, saying that the organizers allegedly began clearing the territory near Lake Midagraba and installing structures next to a specially protected natural area. The blogger said that her team is not only engaged in the installation of the site, but also eliminated mountains of garbage. She assured that upon completion of the wedding, a complete reclamation of the site will be carried out and the access road will remain leveled.
