Restoration of the Agrarian University building has begun in Tyumen

The restoration of the academic building of the Agrarian University on Republic Street has started in Tyumen. More than 80 years ago, the body of the founder of the USSR, Vladimir Lenin, was kept in the building.

According to eyewitnesses, the territory has already been fenced off, and the plaster has begun to be removed from the fence. The passport states that the overhaul of the facility began on June 29, and completion is scheduled for December 2027.

The customer of the work is Tyumen State University. Since November 2025, the agricultural Academy has been part of the university. Techstock became the general contractor.

According to the <url> news agency, the reconstruction project was developed for six years. In 2025, it was agreed upon, and at the same time the conclusion of the state expert examination was received. Almost 1.5 billion rubles will be spent on repairs.

Earlier it was reported that kindergarten No. 110, which had previously been declared an emergency, was liquidated in the center of Tyumen. Another socially significant facility will be built instead.
