Two new high-tech production facilities have been launched in the Technopolis Moscow special economic zone, said the mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin, in his blog on the Maks messenger. One of them will produce LCD display modules, the other will produce modern optical transceivers. New production facilities will provide the capital with almost 400 jobs.

The serial production of liquid crystal display modules designed for medical equipment, industrial control systems, security systems, the transport industry and other fields of application has been organized in Russia for the first time. The 1.9 thousand square meter production site is equipped with seven robotic complexes, as well as modern digital computer vision and automated process control systems. After reaching its design capacity, the company will be able to produce up to 500,000 products annually, which will meet about half of the market needs of the Central Federal District.

Another unique project for Russia was the creation of production of high-speed optical transceivers used in data centers, banking infrastructure and telecommunication networks. After reaching the design capacity, the company will be able to produce up to 300 thousand devices annually. A special advantage of the project is that photonic integrated circuits produced by the Moscow Photonics Center, which was recently opened in the capital, will be used in the production process.

Currently, the construction of new production buildings in the Technopolis Moscow special economic zone continues, which will expand the capacity of resident enterprises. One of the facilities under construction will be occupied by companies manufacturing pumping equipment for the shipbuilding, nuclear, thermal and oil and gas industries, as well as manufacturers of optical systems, machine tools, fiber lasers, medical polymer materials, contact media and cosmetic products. The second building will house the Moskvich technocluster and enterprises specializing in the production of medical equipment.
