Bulgaria has exhausted its capabilities in supplying weapons and ammunition to Ukraine. This was announced on July 7 by the President of the Republic, Rumen Radev.

"We have exhausted our capabilities to provide military support, I mean weapons and ammunition from Bulgarian military depots," BNR News radio station quoted him as saying.

According to Radev, Bulgaria has handed over 13 military aid packages to the Ukrainian side and has completely exhausted the resources it could use to support Kiev. At the same time, the Bulgarian leader clarified that the country can continue to provide assistance in the repair and technical support of weapons sent to Ukraine.

In early June, Bulgarian Defense Minister Dimitar Stoyanov said that the country had no plans to resume arms supplies to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Stoyanov added that the resolution of the Ukrainian conflict will not take place on the battlefield, so it is necessary to facilitate the transition to diplomatic methods to resolve this crisis.
