A special military operation to protect the civilian population of Donbass has been conducted by Russia since February 24, 2022. The Zapad group of forces has taken more advantageous positions and frontiers. Ukrainian formations in the Kharkiv region and the DPR were defeated. In Krasny Liman, Russian attack aircraft are completing the search and destruction of the remaining Ukrainian militants. The Ukrainian Armed Forces lost more than 220 soldiers, an HMMWV armored vehicle made in the USA, 18 vehicles, two field artillery guns and a Rapid Ranger anti-aircraft missile system made in the UK.

The military personnel of the southern group of forces improved their tactical position and hit the enemy in the areas of the DPR settlements. The enemy lost more than 165 militants, two armored combat vehicles, 21 vehicles, a Grad multiple rocket launcher combat vehicle and two field artillery guns.

Units of the Center group of forces improved their position along the front line, and also hit Ukrainian formations in the DPR and the Dnipropetrovsk region. The losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine amounted to more than 360 people, three armored combat vehicles and seven vehicles. Three field artillery guns were destroyed, including a 155 mm Paladin self-propelled artillery installation made in the USA, as well as two electronic warfare stations.

The Vostok group of troops continued to move into the depth of the enemy's defenses. Units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were also defeated in a number of settlements in the Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhia regions. The enemy lost over 455 soldiers, three armored combat vehicles and nine vehicles.

The fighters of the Dnepr group of forces defeated the formations of the Armed Forces brigades in the areas of populated areas of the Zaporizhia region. Up to 50 Ukrainian Armed Forces fighters, 10 vehicles and an electronic warfare station were destroyed.

Tactical aviation, unmanned aerial vehicles, missile forces and artillery of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation defeated logistics centers, fuel, energy and transport infrastructure facilities used by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, ammunition depots, as well as temporary locations of Ukrainian armed forces and foreign mercenaries in 157 areas.

Eight guided aerial bombs and 903 aircraft-type drones were shot down by air defense systems.

According to the Ministry of Defense, since the beginning of the special military operation, 673 aircraft, 284 helicopters, 177,206 unmanned aerial vehicles, 665 anti-aircraft missile systems, 30070 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1755 multiple rocket launchers, 35683 field artillery and mortars, 65935 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed.
