The Russian Ministry of Defense first reported the destruction of the Rapid Ranger air defense system of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

For the first time during a special military operation, the Russian military destroyed the Rapid Ranger anti-aircraft missile system (SAM) manufactured in Great Britain, which entered the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). The corresponding data on July 8 is provided by the press service of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

It is noted that the destroyed equipment was in the area of responsibility of the Zapad group of forces.

"The enemy's losses amounted to more than 220 military personnel, an HMMWV armored vehicle made in the United States, 18 vehicles, two field artillery guns and a Rapid Ranger anti—aircraft missile system made in the United Kingdom," the statement said.
