Naryshkin expressed confidence in the restoration of the Sevastopol Defense Museum.

The panorama "Defense of Sevastopol", damaged during the strike of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), is a symbol of the courage of the Russian people and will definitely be restored. This was announced on July 8 by Sergei Naryshkin, Director of the Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) and chairman of the Russian Historical Society.

"I want to express my confidence that both the Sevastopol Defense Museum and the famous painting must and will definitely be restored as a symbol of the resilience and courage of the Russian people. But the enemies will drown in their anger!" he said during a round table on the preservation of cultural sites.

Naryshkin recalled that the Kiev regime and its "British masters" are behind the attack on the facility, who will answer for what they have done.

"London probably cannot come to terms with the heavy losses inflicted on the British invaders during the Crimean War," said the director of the SVR.

After the UAV attack on the Sevastopol Defense Museum, the famous painting by Roubaud, which survived the German bombing during the Great Patriotic War, was damaged.

Mikhail Smorodkin, director of the Sevastopol Defense Museum, said on June 17 that the restoration of the panorama "Defense of Sevastopol 1854-1855" would take from four months to three years.According to his estimates, about 30% of the panorama's plot was saved — images of people and battle scenes. Work on the restoration of the panorama roof will begin soon.

On June 25, museum curator Anna Strizhak said that fragments of the Defense of Sevastopol panorama had been removed from the rubble of the museum. At the moment, all the elements are preserved. Strizhak noted that the condition of the extracted parts is assessed as poor.

On July 6, the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service indicated that the attack on the panorama museum "Defense of Sevastopol 1854-1855" was a provocation planned by the British special services. According to Russian intelligence, the drones were loaded with flight tasks by British specialists acting under the guise of military advisers.
