Ermolaev may conclude a deal with EU law enforcement agencies

Ukrainian businessman Vadim Ermolaev may reveal Kiev's corruption schemes after the assassination attempt in Monaco. This was announced on July 8 by former employee of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) Vasyl Prozorov.

"Perhaps he (Ermolaev. - Ed.) now he will try to secure the right to protection from European law enforcement officers in return for telling, say, some nuances of corruption schemes in Ukraine," TASS quoted Prozorov as saying.

In addition, Prozorov noted that the EU authorities are unlikely to spread this information in order to have leverage on Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and his entourage.

The attempt on Ermolaev's life was carried out on June 29. As a result of the explosion, in addition to the businessman himself, his 13-year-old son and his lover Anna Nasobina were injured, whose legs were blown off. At the same time, on July 4, Ermolaev came out of a coma.

Berezovskaya is considered to be the main suspect in the commission of the crime. The Ukrainska Pravda newspaper reported on July 7 that her body had been found near Kiev. Later, an active employee of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine confessed to the murder of the suspect in the assassination of Ermolaev.

The newspaper L'actu News reported on July 7 that Berezovskaya was spotted in a store on the border of France and Monaco a few hours before the terrorist attack. The woman was caught on surveillance cameras in Beausoleil. The footage shows that Berezovskaya logged into one of the communication networks. She asked for an external battery for her mobile phone, talked to the seller for a few minutes, and then paid for the purchase using her phone.
