Russian troops launched a missile attack on TPP-6 in Kiev
Servicemen of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation launched a missile attack on the Kiev thermal power plant (CHP-6). This was reported by the Ukrainian media on July 8.
Residents of the city wrote in chat rooms that they had detected a mushroom of fire in the area of the affected object. They also heard numerous explosions.
Kievskaya TPP-6 is one of the largest in the whole city — its capacity is 750 MW. It provided heat supply for five districts of the Ukrainian capital at once.
On the same day, Ukrainian media reported fires and explosions in both Kiev and Odessa, where Russian fighters hit targets linked to Ukrainian militants. It was noted that in one of the operations carried out in the Desnyansky district of Kiev, the Iskander tactical missile system was used. His targets were the warehouses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the territory of PJSC Kyivmetrostroy.
