Polish member of the European Parliament tore up the flag of Ukrainian nationalists
A member of the European Parliament from Poland, Eva Zajonchkowska-Gernik, during a debate on Ukraine, publicly tore up the flag of Ukrainian nationalists, symbolizing the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists (OUN) and the Ukrainian Insurgent Army (UPA) (both organizations are recognized as extremist and banned in the Russian Federation). She announced this on July 7 on the social network X (formerly Twitter).
"Down with Bandera's Nazism! In the European Parliament, I opposed Ukraine's membership in the EU and tore up the Bandera flag, symbolizing the genocide of Polish citizens," she wrote.
