The number of victims of the earthquake in Manuel increased to 3,685 people. This was announced on July 8 by the Speaker of the National Assembly, Jorge Rodriguez, in the Telegram channel.

"3,685 people died, 16,740 were injured, and 6,462 were rescued," the publication says.

As a result of the disaster, more than 17,000 people were left homeless, and 856 buildings were damaged, of which 190 were completely destroyed.

Rodriguez reported 3,535 dead on July 6. In addition, 16,740 were listed as injured at that time. Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said on June 25 that Russia was considering the possibility of providing humanitarian assistance to Venezuela. The European Union, in turn, allocated €5 million for emergency assistance to the republic.

The earthquakes in Venezuela occurred on June 24. The epicenter was located 60 km northwest of the city of Valencia, as well as 28 km northeast of San Felipe. The earthquake was the strongest in the country since 1900.
