Two new ecotropics will be laid in Transbaikalia by the end of the year

New ecological trails will be built in the Arey and Ivano-Arakhleisky nature parks in Transbaikalia. The routes will help tourists to get acquainted with the unique nature of the region, the press service of the regional government reported on Tuesday, July 7.

Thus, an ecotrope with a length of 9.5 km will appear on Bolshoy Undugun Lake. It will be designed taking into account the peculiarities of the Evenki culture. Wooden art objects, gazebos, photo zones and a bird-watching tower will be installed along the route.

A special part of the trail with interactive platforms will be equipped for young travelers. An audio guide with Evenki fairy tales will also be available.

At Lake Arey, the length of the trail will be increased to 12.5 km, it will combine two walking lines: "Shaman's Chest" and "Around Arey". Wooden decking will be made on the territory, benches, gazebos, information stands and a visitor center will be installed.

The project is being implemented within the framework of the federal program "Trails of the Far East" of the national project "Tourism and Hospitality", writes IA ChitaMedia. The work is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2026.

Earlier it was reported that in July a new hiking trail "Sacred Way" will be opened in Transbaikalia. The 3-km route will appear on the territory of the Tuzhi Land Art Park in the Khiloksky district.
