Sergunina announced the Moscow International Publishing Week

The third Moscow International Publishing Week will be held in the capital from July 14 to 19. The participants will be representatives of large companies, book authors, translators and other specialists from 17 countries, including Russia, Brazil, Turkey, Argentina, Mexico, said Deputy Mayor Natalia Sergunina.

"The business program will bring together more than 50 publishing houses. For the first time, the event will bring together experts from countries such as Indonesia, Chile, and Nepal in Moscow," Sergunina said.

More than 260 business meetings are planned between domestic and foreign industry organizations, literary agents, editors, licensing and law specialists. There will also be a series of panel sessions. They will discuss the development of the industry, new trends in the Russian book market, opportunities for international cooperation, and the interaction of illustrators and publishers.

The cultural program will include various event formats. These include a tour of the children's publishing house, a lecture on the Stanislavsky system, a creative walk through Moscow's literary and theatrical venues, a film screening of The Battleship Potemkin, public speaking lessons and book club meetings.
