The future of the Russian Olympic movement will be happy and joyful. Honored coach of the USSR and Russia Alexey Mishin shared this belief with Izvestia on July 7.

"It seems to me that the future of our Olympic Committee and our Olympic movement as a whole is bright, joyful and happy," Mishin said.

In turn, the head of the Russian Ski Racing Federation, Elena Vyalbe, called the decision of the Executive Committee of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) great news.

"Of course, these are good "bells"," she stressed.

On that day, the IOC temporarily suspended sanctions against Russian athletes. Now international federations have the right to independently, without regard to previous IOC directives, return Russian national teams to tournaments under the national flag.

At the same time, Mikhail Degtyarev, Minister of Sports and head of the Russian Olympic Committee, noted that such a decision by the IOC would accelerate the process of restoring all Russian athletes to the international arena. According to him, now more than 20 international sports federations allow juniors to start under the national flag and with the national anthem, and 10 more organizations allow all athletes to perform without restrictions.
