The winner of the Industry-2026 award has been named

The Institute of Light Materials and Technologies (ILMiT, part of Rusal) became the winner of the national industrial award "Industry-2026". First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov presented the award to Roman Vakhromov, Director General of the Institute, at the Innoprom International Industrial Exhibition in Yekaterinburg.

ILMiT was noted for creating a line of import-substituting powder aluminum alloys for 3D printing. "We have created a range of unique alloys for the most demanding operating conditions: from heavy-duty parts to structures operating at high temperatures. This gives designers the opportunity to apply additive technologies at a fundamentally new level with maximum potential. A full cycle of additive manufacturing has been built on the basis of our research center — no one in Russia has such expertise in the field of 3D printing of aluminum alloys today," explained Vakhromov.

Viktor Mann, Technical Director of Rusal, noted that ILMiT is rightfully considered one of the world's leading scientific and engineering centers in the aluminum industry. "The new alloys and aluminum products created by the Institute are widely used in a variety of industries, are supplied in Russia and successfully compete in international markets. ILMIT's developments, including alloys for additive manufacturing, strengthen Rusal's leadership and authority in global markets," he stressed.

The Industry Award was established by the Government of the Russian Federation, and Russian companies operating in civilian industries can apply for it. It is awarded for the creation of fundamentally new products — machinery, equipment, software, materials — with prospects for mass use. This year, 322 companies applied for the award.
