More than 3 thousand residents of Lip suffered from ticks since the beginning of the season

In the Lipetsk region, 3,481 people have been affected by ticks since the beginning of the season. Among them, 1,350 people are children.

According to the regional department of Rospotrebnadzor, cited by GOROD48, among the insects removed from humans and sent for research, more than 25% were infected with pathogens of infectious diseases.

Thus, ixodic borreliosis was found in 18.5% of ticks, human granulocytic anaplasmosis in 6.5%, and human monocytic ehrlichiosis in 0.3%.

In more than 71% of cases, ticks were attached to people in garden plots, in 13% of cases — in nature, in 7% — in farming, in 3% — in parks, in 1% — in cemeteries and in 5% — in other places.

On July 2, it was reported that the first case of ehrlichiosis after a tick bite was registered in the Krasnoyarsk Territory in 2026. A 15-year-old boy became infected. The diagnosis of ehrlichiosis was confirmed in the laboratory. Rospotrebnadzor noted that the activity of ticks has decreased, but the situation in the region remains tense. In total, more than 13.4 thousand people have been affected since the beginning of the season.
