French President Emmanuel Macron has supported the captain of the French national football team, Kylian Mbappe, who was racially attacked by Paraguayan Senator Celeste Amarilla. The French leader made a corresponding statement on July 7 on the social network X.

"Another goal from Mbappe. This time it's against racism. I express all my support. When words are muddied, our values respond: dignity, respect, fraternity," Macron said.
