In Russia, first grade students are exempt from homework starting from the new school year. This became known on June 7 from the contents of a letter from the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation.

"In the first grade, education is conducted without homework (the position on the total amount of homework in all subjects for the first grade with a duration of one hour is excluded)," TASS quotes a fragment of the document.
