Putin instructed to take control of the environmental situation in the Tula region

The demographic issue in the Tula region is acute. On July 6, Governor Dmitry Milyaev reported to Vladimir Putin on the measures taken to increase the birth rate. The head of the region told the president about the initiatives of large businesses for large employees, and also shared his successful experience in finding employment for veterans of a special military operation. The issue of the environmental situation in the region is also being resolved — increased production rates require substantial investments in protective technologies.

What was discussed at the meeting

In the Tula region, they are looking for ways to increase the birth rate and actively involve businesses in this — more than 2.5 thousand enterprises are already helping to reverse the negative trend, rewarding employees for improving demographic indicators. Now you can receive 1 million rubles at the birth of a second child under 25 years of age and a third child under 28 years of age. Moreover, these funds are completely exempt from taxes.

Large families will also be compensated for up to 1 million rubles in housing loans. And preferential mortgages and progressive "student capital" have also been introduced for young people. "This is especially important for the Tula region, bearing in mind, frankly speaking, the modest birth rate," Vladimir Putin said.

At the same time, the region entered the top ten of the country's leaders in terms of industrial development: second place in the Central Federal District and 10th throughout Russia. However, there are costs: the environment suffers. "Indeed, Tula, the Tula region, is a very industrially developed region. But in this regard, the burden on the environment is very high," the president noted. Enterprises are already solving this problem by modernizing production facilities.: By the end of last year, 2 billion rubles were invested in ecotechnology, and about 8 billion more will be invested by 2030.

In general, the focus is not only on industry. In particular, the authorities of the region have taken up the issue of employment of Tula residents. Personnel are being actively attracted to district hospitals: doctors are given office housing and targeted places, and more than 17 thousand specialists are already receiving various additional payments. A creative approach to solving the shortage of staff worked: the introduction of special allowances for doctors over the age of 60 allowed 400 doctors and nurses to return from retirement to work.

Special attention was paid at the meeting to the support of ITS participants. The region has already allocated 4.6 billion rubles for the needs of the fighters, and another 6 billion has been allocated for the restoration of schools, kindergartens and other infrastructure in Mariupol. A special emphasis is placed on the return of the military to civilian life: a local analogue of the presidential program "Time of Heroes" and 15 career tracks (from sports to farming) have been launched. Today, more than 73% of the veterans of the special operation have been successfully employed in the region.
