Likhachev spoke about plans to return specialists to the Bushehr NPP in July.

Rosatom State Corporation plans to begin the return of Russian specialists to the Iranian Bushehr Nuclear power plant (NPP) from mid-July. This was announced on July 6 by Alexey Likhachev, head of Rosatom, at the Innoprom-2026 forum.

He noted that the current situation at the Bushehr NPP is calm.

"Therefore, if it does not change, then we will begin to restore the number of employees from mid—July," TASS quoted him as saying.

In addition, Likhachev stressed that the schedule and procedures for the return of personnel have been coordinated with law enforcement agencies.

Likhachev noted on June 17 that the Bushehr project remains one of Rosatom's priorities, and Russian specialists will gradually begin returning to work there. He noted that employees will be able to return to the Islamic Republic as soon as the risks of attacks on the country are minimized.
