More than 60 members of an extremist group have been suppressed in Karachay-Cherkessia.

Employees of the Federal Security Service of Russia in the Karachay-Cherkess Republic have suppressed the activities of more than 60 supporters of a destructive ideology aimed at forcibly changing the constitutional order of the Russian Federation. This was announced on July 6 by the press service of the department.

"As a result of a complex of operational search measures, more than 60 members of the underground cell of the At Takfir Wal Hijra international religious extremist association banned in Russia, who denied secular laws and civil society institutions, were detained," the report says.
