Sobyanin spoke about the expansion of financial support for patenting developments

The Moscow authorities have expanded the program of financial support for patenting developments in Russia. Now grants will be available to companies that register not only inventions and utility models, but also industrial designs, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said in his channel in the Maks messenger.

The program began operating in the capital in April 2022. Since then, more than 1,100 applications from innovative companies have been approved.

The total amount of financial assistance amounted to 318.9 million rubles. "The expansion of the program will increase the patent activity of Moscow companies and provide support in ensuring the legal protection of their developments in Russia," Sobyanin said.

The grant amount for patenting an industrial design will be 30 thousand rubles. In addition, according to Sobyanin, the amount of support for patenting an invention has doubled to 150 thousand rubles.

Developers can submit grant applications on the platform of the Moscow Innovation Cluster. The cluster also provides all the necessary consulting and organizational assistance in the field of intellectual property management, from consultations, training programs, services for the preparation and filing of patent applications to applications for intellectual property loans.
