Unstable weather is forecast in Moscow this week with daily short-term rains and local thunderstorms, while by the middle of the week the air temperature will reach +25...+27 degrees, creating hot weather conditions. Tatiana Pozdnyakova, a forecaster and a leading specialist at the Meteonosti news agency, told Izvestia about this on July 6.

According to the expert, the capital will be defined by an area of low atmospheric pressure for most of the week, so precipitation will be observed every day, although it will be short-lived and not widespread. Locally, thunderstorm cells are possible, in particular, at the beginning of the week, the probability of thunderstorms remains.

The temperature at the beginning of the week will be 1-1.5 degrees above the climatic norm. Nighttime values are expected to be in the range of +14...+16 degrees, daytime values — +20...+22 degrees in Moscow, +18...+23 degrees in the region.

"Thursday and Friday will be the warmest days. The air temperature in Moscow is already +25...+27 degrees," Pozdnyakova noted.

Over the weekend, the temperature will drop slightly and will be close to the climatic norm. Precipitation will persist, but it will fall in the form of short summer showers lasting 20-30 minutes, without creating prolonged inclement weather.

On June 29, the Hydrometeorological Center of the Russian Federation reported that the subtropical ridge that brought extreme heat to European countries would also affect the central regions of Russia. It was noted that in the first days of July in Moscow, the daytime air temperature will reach +30...+31 degrees.
