Ukrainian Armed Forces strikes on Russian territory

As a result of the Ukrainian attacks in the Belgorod region, cars and the facade of an apartment building were damaged, a drone struck a vehicle near the village of Komsomolsky, and an industrial enterprise caught fire in the Kaluga Region. In Sevastopol, after the attacks of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, the power supply was temporarily cut off. In Yaroslavl, traffic towards Moscow was blocked due to the threat of drone attacks.

"Our region is under enemy attack by Ukrainian UAVs. In order to ensure safety, traffic has been blocked at the exit from Yaroslavl towards Moscow from the intersection of Moskovsky Prospekt with South-Western Okruzhnaya," Governor Mikhail Evraev wrote on the Maks messenger.

The air defense forces intercepted 11 enemy drones in the direction of Moscow. Another 36 UAVs were shot down over the Leningrad region. Drones were also eliminated over the Rostov region.

"Last night, during the repulse of an air attack on the Rostov region, a dozen and a half UAVs were destroyed in the city of Gukovo and five districts of the region," Governor Yuri Slyusar said in the Maks messenger.

FIFA World Cup 2026

The Norwegian national football team defeated Brazil and reached the quarterfinals of the World Cup. The match took place in East Rutherford and ended with a score of 2:1. In a French commune, the mayor died after an argument with a shipowner

Le Figaro newspaper reported on the death of Dominique Rousselot, mayor of the Locmarja commune, after an altercation with the owner of a pleasure boat in Port du Palais.

"Gendarmes <...> the mayor was found "in a state of cardiac arrest at the marina," the newspaper quoted the source as saying.

According to sources, the suspect was detained.

Seaplane crash in New York

In New York, a seaplane carrying eight people crashed in the East River Strait, injuring two people. It is noted that the aircraft made a hard landing on choppy water and partially overturned.
