Traffic in Yaroslavl towards Moscow was blocked due to the threat of attacks by unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). This was announced on July 6 by Mikhail Evraev, Governor of the Yaroslavl Region.

"Our region is under enemy attack by Ukrainian UAVs. In order to ensure safety, traffic has been blocked at the exit from Yaroslavl towards Moscow from the intersection of Moskovsky Prospekt with South-Western Okruzhnaya," the message in the Maks messenger says.

He clarified that units of the Ministry of Defense and other law enforcement agencies continue to carry out security tasks.

Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said on the same day that the air defense forces intercepted three Ukrainian drones on approach to Moscow. After that, it became known about the downing of four APU drones. Later, air defense systems eliminated four more UAVs flying towards Moscow.
