Almost 30% of Russians in the summer of 2026 most often spend money on seasonal fruits and berries. This was reported on July 6 by Gazeta.Ru" with a link to the results of a survey conducted by the financial marketplace <url>.
According to the survey results, nature trips, picnics and barbecue are in second place with 24% of the votes. The third place was occupied by expenses for ice cream, summer desserts and soft drinks (18%). Another 16% named goods for cottages and recreation on the site as the main item of expenditure. The top five are beach products — swimwear, sunscreen cosmetics and accessories (13%).
It is clarified that in 2025 the list looked different — then the most popular summer purchases were country goods, and seasonal fruits were not included in the top. The average amount of summer expenses increased from 12.4 thousand rubles per month to 14.9 thousand rubles. Spending on berries and fruits increased most noticeably — the average bill rose from 3.2 thousand to 4.3 thousand rubles. Expenses for picnics increased from 4.1 thousand to 5 thousand rubles, and goods for cottages now cost 3.4 thousand rubles against 2.8 thousand a year earlier. It is noted that the cost of ice cream remained almost unchanged.
Residents of cities with a population of 35 to 40 years old spend the most on summer goods - an average of 19.2 thousand rubles. The most economical respondents were 50-55 years old with a check of 10.3 thousand rubles. The survey showed that 21% of participants make unplanned purchases more often in the summer, while 17% try to save money. 3,000 Russians participated in the survey.
On July 2, Izvestia was informed by the press service of the Honest Sign labeling system that Russians most often spend on shoes, perfumes, medicines, dietary supplements, as well as beer and low-alcohol beverages on the days of receiving salaries and advances. It was noted that remote sales are slightly ahead of offline sales in terms of quantity, but the formats are comparable in revenue.
